Thinking of visiting the Cowra Wine Region?

We hope that you are, and that we can suggest some ideas to make your visit most memorable. Our recommendation for a weekend tour is to base your visit in Canowindra, and visit 4 cellar doors in and around Canowindra on the Saturday, and 3 cellar doors in and around Cowra on the Sunday.

Saturday: Tom’s Waterhole, Wallington, and Rosnay vineyards are all open by appointment and can be visited in the morning, followed by lunch at “taste Canowindra” where other local wines such as Gardners Ground may be tasted as well as delicious local food. Saturday afternoon could be spent visiting wineries or, if better strolling, enjoying the atmosphere and quaint shops and museums of the main street.

Sunday: The Mill (Windowrie Estate cellar door), and Kalari cellar door and gallery in the morning, followed by lunch at The Quarry Restaurant and Cellar Door, returning to Canowindra via a stroll around Cowra’s famous Japanese Gardens or around the Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
